No predictions for the playoffs. I’m just going to sit back and watch.

The Knicks on Tuesday named interim general manager Glen Grunwald executive vice president and general manager of the team. Grunwald had been serving in this role on an interim basis since taking over for former president and GM Donnie Walsh in July (…) Grunwald has made several moves in his brief tenure as interim GM that have worked out well for the Knicks. He executed a three-team sign-and-trade to acquire Tyson Chandler in the offseason. Chandler was one of the most coveted centers on the free-agent market (…) Grunwald also acquired veteran forward Steve Novak for a veteran’s minimum contract. Novak is one of the best 3-point shooters in the league this year. In addition, Grunwald signed Jeremy Lin shortly after the season start.
Good move from Dolan. Well deserved.

Every day, Novak estimates that he puts up between 500 and 1,000 shots — something he’s been doing ever since he was a kid growing up in Wisconsin (…) Currently 46.6 percent — the best in the league. In fact, he’s within striking distance of the best 3-point shooting season ever (with a minimum of 250 3-pointers attempted). What’s most impressive about Novak is that he’s money from all across the perimeter. The one area where he’s slightly higher is from the right wing to the baseline corner. To illustrate that, here’s his ESPN “Zone Chart”
Novakaine! I hope he’ll return to the Knicks next season…

Bucks Lose - Knicks Clinch
The Bucks have lost to the Indiana Pacers tonight (118-109), which means the Knicks have clinched a playoff spot!
The last four games of the season will now determine our seeding.
We’re most likely ending up with that 7th seed, but as explained earlier… we still have a chance to move up to 6th.

- Message to Knicks fans?
- Just thank you. When I got drafted, I got booed, but the cool thing about New York is like the level off honesty that they give you. I’ve had, I don’t know how many fans come to me and say, “Man, I’m so sorry for booing you. I love the way you play. I love how hard to play. I love what you bring to New York. I hope you’re a Knick for life.
Awesome interview with I-Man. A must-read.

The power of NBA TV and International League Pass. 4 play off like games at the same time. And the Knicks won a huge game against Milwaukee. This day started so well.
Go Knicks!
Ps. And I still dislike Melo.
Pat, Y U SO FAT?
An anniversary of sorts quietly passed on Monday, and the Knicks’ owner, James L. Dolan, celebrated in a manner appropriate to the occasion: by remaining blissfully, stubbornly silent. On March 12, 2007, Dolan conducted a 30-minute interview with reporters who cover the team. He has not been interviewed since - a streak of silence worthy of a Benedictine monk. Dozens of players have passed through Madison Square Garden in that time, from Earl Barron to Chris Wilcox. Isiah Thomas was fired and (briefly) rehired. The Garden lost a sexual harassment lawsuit and waged war with Time Warner. Donnie Walsh came and left. Amar’e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony arrived. Linsanity happened. It all unfolded without a single public word from Dolan, the media-shy owner of a media empire.
